Privacy policy

This policy covers price-list.niveshsahayak.in and the other Nivesh Sahayak tools on niveshsahayak.in addresses, including the Nivesh Sahayak App and My data ("the tools"), run by Nivesh Sahayak.

The short version

What you type into the tools (your business details, customers, items, bills, books, logos and signatures) is kept only in your browser on your device. There is no login and no account, we do not receive your documents, and we cannot see or recover them. The only things that reach us are the messages you choose to send through the contact form or "Report it".

Where your data is kept

• Saved records are stored in your browser's storage in one shared data home at my.niveshsahayak.in, so every tool uses the same customers, items and documents. If that place can't be reached, a tool keeps the data in its own browser storage and moves it there later.
• Your settings in each tool, and the business type and details you give in the installed App's first-run setup, are kept in the same data home.
• An unsaved draft is kept in your browser so a reload doesn't lose your typing.
• On a computer you can choose one auto-save folder (on my.niveshsahayak.in). Every save then updates one backup file, nivesh-sahayak-backup.json, in that folder. The folder and any backup files you save are on your own device or your own cloud drive. We never see them.
• Clearing your browser's data for these sites deletes the saved records in it. Keep a backup file.

Messages you send us

When you use the contact form or "Report it", we receive:

• what you type: the topic, your message, and your name and reply address (email or phone) only if you give them;
• the page address, site, language, screen size and browser name, so we can find the problem;
• a one-way code made from your IP address, used only to stop floods of messages. Your IP address itself is not stored.

We use this only to answer you and to fix the tools. The message is saved in our private inbox on Cloudflare (a Cloudflare Workers service with a Cloudflare D1 database) and a copy is emailed to us as an alert through Brevo. We never sell it or use it for advertising. We keep a message for up to 12 months, or less once it is dealt with. To have your message deleted earlier, write to us again with the date you sent it and the name or reply address you used. Please don't put invoices or your customers' details in a message.

Outside services the pages use

• GitHub Pages hosts the pages and receives the usual technical details of every web request, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver them.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to the pages. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you.
• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) for the typefaces, including the font for your language.
• cdnjs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) and unpkg (unpkg.com) for code libraries that make QR codes, PDF and Excel files, and read barcodes. They run in your browser.
• assets.niveshsahayak.in for the shared site credit.
• share.groupchaton.com for the list of sponsor and promotion cards, with pictures from Google's Blogger image servers. A card is a plain link: we share nothing about you with the business on it. If you click one, that business's own privacy policy applies.
• The GST portal (services.gst.gov.in), only when you press "Copy GSTIN and open GST portal". You search there yourself and paste the result into the tool; we receive nothing.
• Your camera, only when you press a button to scan a barcode. The picture is read in your browser and is not saved or sent anywhere.
• WhatsApp or your phone's share menu, only when you press Share.

These services receive only what a browser sends when it loads a file. Your documents are never part of those requests.

Locked backups and files for your accountant

A backup locked with a password is encrypted in your browser (AES-256) before it is saved. The password is never stored or sent anywhere; without it nobody, including us, can open the file. A file made with "Send to your accountant" is built on your device and handed on by you (share menu, download); we never receive it. Files for the GST, e-invoice and e-way bill portals are also made on your device and uploaded by you with your own login.

Cookies and tracking

The tools set no advertising cookies and show no Google ads (no AdSense). The visit counter (Cloudflare Web Analytics) uses no cookies.

Your choices

• You can see, change, export or delete everything you saved at any time in My data (my.niveshsahayak.in).
• You can ask us to show, correct or delete a message you sent us through the contact page.

Children

The tools are meant for business use by adults.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
